From our world-famous reservoirs and lakes, to superb whitewater rafting and fishing, northern Utah offers some spectacular options for water-lovers.

In terms of water skiing, wake boarding, and speed boating, Utah Lake, Deer Creek, Jordanelle, Strawberry, and Flaming Gorge reservoirs, offer innumerable boating options with shaded picnic areas, nearby restaurants, practical amenities, and excellent campgrounds. In addition to boating, options include protected areas for swimming, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, rowing, and kite surfing.

For anglers, the Provo River, which also feeds the Deer Creek and Jordanelle reservoirs, is home to rainbow and brown trout that average 14-18 inches in length. You can also find black crappie, bluegill and green sunfish, common carp, crayfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, Utah chub, walleye and yellow perch depending on the time of year. Further, the nearby Uintas are home to over 500 fish-supporting freshwater lakes and 400 miles of pristine streams that support an array of prized species.

The beautiful Weber River, which passes through the waterfall laden Weber Canyon, has numerous whitewater rafting operations that guide adventure seekers through its rapids either on inflatable paddle rafts or kayaks. According to Park City Rafting, "The 8.5 mile river run has a great mix of class II rapids and calm stretches that give you the opportunity to bask in the sun, search for wildlife, or water fight."
